What is a graduation plan? In simplest terms, a graduation plan enables students to connect what they are currently doing in school to what they want to do in the future. Effective graduation plans allow students to meet with counselors , teachers, and their parents/guardians each year to assess and record their academic progress, interpret test scores, schedule appropriate middle school and high school courses, prepare for graduation from high school, and begin making initial career and post-secondary education plans for life after high school.

DIPLOMA TYPES
Indiana’s Core 40 diploma is the academic foundation all students need to succeed in college, apprenticeship programs, military training and the workforce. Core 40 gives you more options — and more opportunities — to find a career with a real future.
Some four-year Indiana colleges – including IU Bloomington and Purdue West Lafayette – require the Core 40 with Academic Honors. With this diploma, you’ll be eligible for more financial aid from the State of Indiana. Plus, some Indiana colleges offer scholarships just for students who have earned this diploma. Some technical programs and apprenticeships require the Core 40 with Technical Honors. The Core 40 with Technical Honors opens the door to more state financial aid while making you more competitive for apprenticeships or college. |
